Men in Mission (MIM) is an ELCA sponsored mission for men. It provides support and guidance for the men of all ages of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in their walk with Christ and service to His ministry.
The Empty Nesters are an adult fellowship ministry open to singles and couples of all ages; those who are “Empty Nesters”, or would like to be for an Empty Nesters’ event. While our primary focus is Christian fellowship, we also strive to serve others to support the mission of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. If you are new to Good Shepherd consider joining us for this festive event. We are a welcoming group!
God’s Little Achers invite those old enough to have a few aches and pains to join them as they meet once a month for fellowship and a fun activity. Many times, transportation is provided. Join us – all are welcome!
Join us the 2nd Saturday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for needlework and fellowship. Bring your projects, learn something new, teach or help another friend. Knit, Crochet, Cross-stitch, Embroider, Sew, etc. Refreshments provided. We meet in the homes of participants. Call the church at 770-924-7286 or check the church newsletter for more information.
Yarn Angels typically meets the first Sunday of each month in Room 120 of the Education Building from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join us any time during the two hours. No experience is necessary! Come learn to knit or crochet and help make prayer shawls. Care and the love of creating have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace. Many blessings are knitted into every shawl. The knitter begins each shawl with prayers for the recipient. Prayer continues throughout the creation of the shawl. When the shawl is completed it is blessed by the pastor before being sent on its way.
