As children of God, we recognize our call to care for creation. Caring for Creation expresses a call to pursue justice for creation through active participation, solidarity, sufficiency and sustainability, and states the commitments of the ELCA for pursuing wholeness for creation — commitments expressed through individual and community action, worship, learning, moral deliberation and advocacy.
The Empty Nesters are an adult fellowship ministry open to singles and couples of all ages; those who are “Empty Nesters”, or would like to be for an Empty Nesters’ event. While our primary focus is Christian fellowship, we also strive to serve others to support the mission of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. If you are new to Good Shepherd consider joining us for this festive event. We are a welcoming group!
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church participates in Habitat for Humanity housing builds through the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat, a non-profit with eleven area Lutheran churches as members. GSLC contributes to the Lutheran Coalition both financially, and through the efforts of GSLC members who volunteer to participate in housing builds. Additionally, GSLC members participate in annual Lutheran Coalition fund raising events.
Learn about all of our music offerings here at Good Shepherd. We have a Praise Team, Chancel Choir, two handbell groups, Chancel Choir and Children’s Choir. If you love or want to learn and be a part of the music at Good Shepherd, check out all our musical offerings here.
Men in Mission (MIM) is an ELCA sponsored mission for men. It provides support and guidance for the men of all ages of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in their walk with Christ and service to His ministry.
There are opportunities throughout the year to put our faith in action at Good Shepherd or with one of our partner organizations. Adults of all ages, children, and families are welcome to participate in our service opportunities and our annual events like the ELCA “Gods work. Our hands.”
God’s Little Achers invite those old enough to have a few aches and pains to join them as they meet once a month for fellowship and a fun activity. Many times, transportation is provided. Join us – all are welcome!
Join us each month, for needlework and fellowship. Bring your projects, learn something new, teach or help another friend. Knit, Crochet, Cross-stitch, Embroider, Sew, etc. Refreshments provided. We meet in the homes of participants. Call the church at 770-924-7286 or check the church newsletter for more information.
