Good Shepherd Lutheran Church participates in Habitat for Humanity housing builds through the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat, a non-profit with eleven area Lutheran churches as members. GSLC contributes to the Lutheran Coalition both financially, and through the efforts of GSLC members who volunteer to participate in housing builds. Additionally, GSLC members participate in annual Lutheran Coalition fundraising events.
The Lutheran Coalition Ministry has helped to build over 35 homes for families in our community since its inception in 1994. We could not have accomplished this without the volunteer and financial contributions from our church family supporters.

The Lutheran Coalition annual fundraising events are as follows:
Taste of Habitat – the major annual fundraiser for the Lutheran Coalition is held annually in September
The Lutheran Coalition for Habitat, due to management changes at The Metropolitan Club this year, the annual “Taste of Habitat” event will be held at The Phase Family Center/Phase Events Center, 12150 Morris Road, Alpharetta. This is not far from the Metropolitan Club.
The date is set for Friday, September 13th.
Calling all chefs! If you can continue again as a chef, a big thank you. Please seek others that may also want to be a Chef. If you need to take off this year, we understand and thank you for those past events you volunteered. We appreciate your help to make this taste event a success. and hope you can provide either a main “taste” or dessert “taste”. We will adhere to the same serving procedures as in previous years.
Entrees will be served, 7-8 PM and desserts will be served 8-9 PM.
As always, setting up for serving the main entree will be no later than 6:30 pm.

Please consider making a donation to support the Lutheran Coalition. To do this, simply make a check out to the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat and place in the church offering, drop off to our Office Coordinator.
