Our Caring for Creation Garden, The Garden of Grace, was established under the leadership of Mary McCoy in 2020. The garden project began with two garden beds and has grown to seven beds today. The goal of the Garden of Grace is to provide fresh produce to the food needy in our community. Our produce is given to a local food bank, Forever Fed and to the Cherokee County summer lunch program. The Garden of Grace is managed by our Caring for Creation Committee and is maintained by volunteers.
Six apple trees were planted by Mike McCoy in memory of Mary McCoy. Caring for Creation maintains care of the apple trees.
Our Pollinator Garden was established in 2022 with mostly native plants. These plants attract bees, butterflies, moths and other pollinators which help pollinate the Garden and apple trees. Scroll through the pictures below to see the fruits of our efforts.
