SIMPLY GIVING (Preferred Method of Good Shepherd)
SIMPLY GIVING is a systematic and cost effective way to fulfill your pledge to Good Shepherd, through deductions from your bank checking and/or savings account. SIMPLY GIVING makes your pledge much easier to manage, keeps you current even when you are not able to attend services, and helps other fluctuations in income that affect giving consistency. The enrollment process is easy – just fill out the authorization form and return it to the church Office Coordinator. You can modify or cancel your participation at any time by contacting the church office.
We also have a way for members and visitors to contribute offerings and donations to Good Shepherd. Our online donations are facilitated through an online service called Vanco Payment Solutions. Vanco is recognized and recommended by the ELCA and adopted by many Lutheran churches across America. They are the same vendor that processes our SIMPLY GIVING program. To obtain the most benefits, as noted below, we encourage you to set up an account through either our website by clicking the GIVE NOW button below, or utilizing the “Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement” app from your smartphone. You can download the free mobile app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

(Please note, although VANCO MOBILE and SIMPLY GIVING are the same parent company, if you switch to VANCO MOBILE giving, it will not cancel your SIMPLY GIVING authorization. You must contact the church office to make changes to any SIMPLY GIVING transactions.)

No credit, debit or banking information is stored on Good Shepherd’s servers. Once you select to donate, Vanco Payment Solutions (the parent company of Vanco Mobile, and the same company that processes our transactions for SIMPLY GIVING), maintains the highest level of PCI-compliance which meets or exceeds all industry standards to safeguard your data. This includes leveraging technology and encryption to ensure that your data stays safe during all transmissions.
When using Vanco Mobile and considering annual pledging to Good Shepherd budgeting purposes, select recurring donations to our general fund.
When available, use the other fund categories available for initiatives other than your pledged giving: flowers, youth fundraisers, donuts, etc. This will help ensure that we continue to meet our regular budgeted expenses.

Special Gifts to Good Shepherd –Mission Endowment Fund: It might be the spirit of your love and involvement with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the need for more tax deductions, an unexpected bonus, holidays or some other reason. Taking a little bit of time now – to review your giving options and plans – can certainly save a lot of time and trouble later on. However, it can also insure that your gifts have the maximum impact on the Mission Endowment Fund of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
How you make your gift can often affect how much your gift will be. Choosing the best property and timing for your gifts may even allow you to make a larger gift to the Mission Endowment Fund of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at the same after- tax cost to you.
