Based in Chicago, Bishop Elizabeth Eaton leads our church. Through the ELCA, we are a part of the Southeastern Synod, which includes over 10,000 congregations. Reverend Julian Gordy is the bishop of the Southeastern Synod.
Some key ministries of the ELCA include global mission to help fight hunger, malaria, social injustice and provide missionaries; and also domestic mission such as establishing new churches and providing grants to local nonprofits working to serve the needs of God’s people as well as seminary education to help provide training for those who desire to be in full-time ministry.
