Next Meeting Date: Monday, July 7th, from 11:00 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. at the home of Melinda Mundis. Light refreshments will be provided.
The new Yarn Angels group works with a local charity called The Encouragement Project (TEP). To learn more, check out their web site: theencouragementproject.org. We make and donate items such as baby blankets, hats, scarves, lap robes, prayer shawls, mittens, wash cloths, wash mitts, basically anything you like to knit or crochet. The encouragement project donates these new handmade items to low-income children and families, cancer patients, foster care, crisis pregnancy centers, the homeless, the elderly in nursing homes, hospice patients, etc.
Interested in joining this project or would like to learn how to knit or crochet? We would love to have you attend one of our meetings, but it is not necessary for you to donate what you make. Our group leader will be happy to take your donations at any time. You can either bring your items to the church during normal office hours or on a Sunday morning.
Monthly Details: Yarn Angels meets quarterly at someone’s home. Join us! If you are interested, contact the church office, and we will put you in contact with the group leader.
