“God’s Story. Our Story.” continues during Lent, Holy Week and Easter as our study of Mark’s Gospel leads us to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. As is our tradition we encourage members, committees and organizations to unplug for Lent from as many distractions as possible to give priority attention to scripture and worship. We seek to schedule as few business or fellowship opportunities as possible because of the increased opportunities for worship and Bible Conversation.
During Lent, three of our Bible Conversation Groups will read “Making Sense of the Cross” by David Lose. Join Michelle Angalet Tuesdays at Noon beginning February 28, Pastor Justin Tuesdays at 7 p.m., beginning February 21, or Pastor Paul Thursdays at 10 a.m beginning February 23. At our 6 p.m. Wednesday Evening Suppers, we will also be viewing brief video presentations by Dr. Lose based on the book. If you would like a copy of “Making Sense of the Cross” please sign the book order form at Sign Up Central. Cost is $12.
